About Our Rescue
Yappy Tails Animal Rescue, Inc., is a volunteer-based 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue, dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs from overcrowded shelters.
Yappy Tails is a rescue, not a dog shelter, and as such we do not have our dogs housed in one location – they are in foster homes both in Connecticut & with our southern rescue partners.
Founded in 2018, we are committed to rescuing, caring for, and adopting homeless dogs into loving and responsible homes. With the help of our southern rescue partners, we transport our dogs to Connecticut where we place them into temporary foster homes. Our dogs are then socialized, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions limiting their adoptability.
Our goal is to create a world where all companion animals have loving and permanent homes. We seek to prevent all loving animals, regardless of age, from being killed in shelters because they are considered to be surplus or unadoptable.
